For those of you who have followed the Tabletop Homestead blog, we’ve made our quarter-mile move and are living in our tiny cabin. For those who are new, welcome. We’ve lived “on the land”, “in the country”, “homesteading”, etc. for over 15 years; the last ten have been spent carving a life out of 45 acres of raw central Oklahoma land. Life changes you and deals you interesting situations (we believe God is in charge of it all) and we found ourselves inching our way back to the complicated, soft and civilized life that we’d been trying to ditch. Our daughter and her young family needed a home, we needed an excuse, and now we find ourselves a middle-aged couple living in a 216 square foot off-grid cabin with no indoor plumbing. We love it. This is our story, which I’m sure will be told in fits and starts.
